Beyond the Call of Duty

The Securex Values Awards is an internal employee recognition scheme that recognizes those who move far and beyond to help their fellow employees and the society at large during in their time of need. This is hugely influenced by our two main principles, the core values of the Securex Family; “We are Family” and “Whatever it Takes.”

The objective is basically to encourage the Securex Family that an act of kindness or selflessness to a fellow human being goes a long way in making the world a better place.

This recent edition comprised of two seasons, season five and six where there were four well deserved winners all recognized for various acts of valour.

Mr. Tony Sahni, the C.E.O, emphasized the aspect of celebrating our heroes who lived by our core values and cherished them every day.

Through events such as this award ceremony, we keep our bond alive and strong. These forums also allow us to celebrate the individuals who choose to selflessly live by these core values. These are heroes who have decided to put the Securex Family before their own interests, and some of their tales are beyond commendable,’’ Mr. Sahni remarked.

One of the winners, Ann Matthew, who is a first aider at Securex was particularly overjoyed after winning an all-expense paid trip to Mombasa for two. She was awarded for showing bravery and compassion to accident victims at Riverside Drive. On her arrival at the scene, she requested for medical gloves from the ambulance attendant and started administering first aid to the accident victims. She also went ahead to stop those who were taking pictures and videos of the accident.

The Securex Values Award is on the verge of creating a big impact in the corporate world in Kenya when it comes to employee recognition and motivation, hence setting a benchmark for other organizations to follow.
