“The love of a family is life’s greatest blessing.”-Eva Burrows.
You might have noticed by now, but in case you haven’t, we at Securex have always been about family. We believe in the institution that is the family, live like a family, and take great pride in protecting families across East Africa as they prosper for the last 46 years. We were reminded of our commitment to securing homes and providing an enabling environment for growth when we camped at the Hub, Karen on 3rd and 4th September 2016. We spent the entire weekend at the mall to interact with shoppers, offer expert security advice on how they could go about fortifying their home and business security, as well as showcase some of our own security solutions and offers on selected products. We had discounts on our IP (Internet Protocol) CCTV surveillance kits, and also took the opportunity to introduce our new alarm response packages, which now feature value-added services such as aerial medical evacuation, roadside rescue and ambulance services at very competitive rates.
“If there are no dogs in heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.”– Will Rogers.
We were humbled by the number of families that visited our stand over the two days. It might have been a chilly couple of days in Karen, but the mall was certainly buzzing when Skaga Apollo (Rottweiler) and Skaga Kelly (German Shepherd) turned up! Skaga Apollo, one of our protection dogs, drew a lot of admiration for his excellent body structure and imposing size, while Kelly, one of our Explosive Detection (Sniffer) Dogs, turned heads as she showed off a number of obedience tricks and flicks. Eric, her handler, also put her through a number of explosive detection demonstrations to the benefit of watching bystanders. The two certainly proved to be popular with adults and young ones alike, and the images we took from the event were a stark reminder why we put family before all else.
Missed the weekend’s action? Not to worry, here’s how things went down through our lens:
